Veteran broadcaster J.C. DeLass will call the action for Rochester's home games in football, men's basketball, and women's basketball this season in a revised streaming plan.

DeLass has over 30 years of experience as a sportscaster. He was the voice of Rochester football and both basketball teams for WYSL-1040 AM Radio for more than 20 years. He was the Station Manager/Sports Director for WYSL, which is located in Avon, New York. He called every game, both home and away, along with NCAA playoff action.

Rochester opens the 2021 football season at home against Case Western Reserve University on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. The last time these two teams played at Edwin Fauver Stadium in the Brian F. Prince Athletic Complex, the game attracted a crowd of more than 3,100. It was Rochester's largest home crowd in 11 years. The Yellowjackets will return to Fauver Stadium on September 11 for a noon game against Alfred State College.

DeLass is a multiple winner of the Rochester Press-Radio Club's Sportscaster of the Year. He was the banquet Master of Ceremonies for the annual Wendy's Classic basketball tournament and the play-by-play broadcaster for the event. It featured all eight Rochester-area colleges. The tournament was known for a long time as the JPMorganChase basketball tournament.

He is a member of the Wendy's Classic Hall of Fame and a member of the Frontier Field Walk of Fame. He was the former Sports Director at WROC-TV in Rochester.
