The University of Rochester field hockey team took home two major awards and had five All-League honorees as announced by the Liberty League on Wednesday.

Junior defender
Courtney Dunham was selected as the conference Defensive Player of the Year and Head Coach
Wendy Andreatta and her staff were selected as Coaching Staff of the Year.

UR also had three first team honorees in Dunham as a defender, senior attack
Claire Dickerson and sophomore midfielder
Colleen Maillie. Representing the Yellowjackets on the second team was senior attack
Olivia Denny and sophomore midfielder
Maya Haigis.

Coaching Staff of the Year:
Head Coach Wendy Andreatta, Assistant Coaches Margaret McConnell and Tara Lamberti: The Yellowjackets are 17-3 in the 2017 campaign, including going a perfect 7-0 during the Liberty League regular season schedule to earn the school's first outright league crown. UR then won its first ever Liberty League Tournament title and have advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the fourth time in school history. Rochester was second in the conference in goals per game (2.95) and led the conference in goals against average (0.90) and shutouts (10). The Yellowjackets also have been ranked nationally inside the top-20 in the NFHCA Division III poll all season long.

Defensive Player of the Year/1st Team:
Courtney Dunham (jr., D, Lisle, NY/Whitney Point): 1st All-Liberty League honor; Dunham was an anchor along the Yellowjacket back line all season long, helping Rochester to allow the fewest goals in the conference and rank 8th nationally in shutouts (10) and 10th in goals against average (0.87) this season. She played nearly every minute for Rochester, leading the team in minutes player with over 1,400 and also contributed on the offensive end, playing on UR's corner attacks, chipping in six goals and two assists for 14 points, including the game-winning shootout goal against Skidmore on Oct. 20 and against William Smith in the Liberty League semifinals on Nov. 1. She was selected to the Liberty League All-Tournament team and was named conference Defensive Player of the Week twice.

1st Team:
Claire Dickerson (sr., A, Rochester, NY/Pittsford Sutherland): 1st All-Liberty League honor; The senior broke out in 2017 and took it upon herself to be a force offensively for the Yellowjackets, leading the team in scoring with 20 goals and 3 assists for a career-best 43 points. That total included seven game-winning goals, including three in conference games. She ranked 25th in NCAA Division III in goals per game (1.00) and 39th in points per game (2.15) while finishing second in goals and points and first in game-winners. Was named the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week once this season and earned a spot playing in the NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star game.

Colleen Maillie (so., M, Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township): 2nd All-Liberty League honor (2016 2nd Team); Maillie was arguably Rochester's strongest two-way player, getting the job done both offensively and defensively as a sophomore. She tallied 19 points, coming on five goals and nine assists and added two game-winning goals, including scoring the GWG in the Liberty League title game against Skidmore on Nov. 4. She added three defensive saves and was among the team leaders in minutes played. Maillie also ranked in the top-50 in NCAA Division III in assists per game (0.45) and was third in the Liberty League. Selected as Offensive Performer of the Week on two occasions this year from the conference and was named to the conference All-Tournament team.

2nd Team:
Olivia Denny (sr., A, Barker, NY/Barker): 1st All-Liberty League honor; Denny, a co-captain this season impressed on the offensive and defensive ends of the field, playing an important role on both the corner attack and corner defense for the Yellowjackets. She ended up leading the team with 11 assists and added seven goals for a total of 25 points, second on the team. Denny was ranked nationally in assists per game (17th, 0.55) and was second in total assists in the conference. She also was sixth in the Liberty League in scoring and chipped in two game-winning goals, including one on the road against Rensselaer on Oct. 7. Had two assists in a game on four occasions and also scored twice at Ithaca on Oct. 13. She was selected to play in the NFHCA Senior All-Star game and was a member of the Liberty League All-Tournament Team.

Maya Haigis (so., A, Acton, MA/Acton Boxborough): 2nd All-Liberty League Award (2016 Rookie of the Year/2nd Team); Haigis finished the year with 14 points, coming on five goals and four assists for Rochester while being among the team leaders in minutes played. She scored one game-winning goal, coming at St. Lawrence on Oct. 22, finishing off UR's perfect 7-0 regular season conference record. Haigis was a Liberty League All-Tournament Team member after she scored two goals against William Smith in the conference semifinals, helping the Yellowjackets to a 4-0 win.
