Four Players Honored Along With Team By ITA

For the sixth time in the past seven years, the University of Rochester men's tennis team has been saluted by its national organization for outstanding academic achievement.
 
Rochester has been chosen as a winner of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team Award for the 2011-12 season. Additionally, four Rochester players were named to the ITA's Scholar-Athlete Team.
 
The individuals who were honored are: Joel Allen (Class of 2013, Rochester, NY/Irondequoit HS), Philip Kellogg (Class of 2014, Hector, NY/Watkins Glen), Jonathan Lieb (Class of 2013, New York, NY/Riverdale Country Day), and Matthew Volkov (Class of 2012, Bethesda, MD/Walt Whitman).
 
To qualify for the award, individuals must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher in the current playing season and have been enrolled at the institution for a minimum of two semesters. Teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher, taking into account all players on the roster.
